Walter Charles Tarry, was born in Yardley Hastings on 17th September 1876 the son of Jonathan and Annie. In the 1901 census (see below) he is shown as a clicker in the boot trade and was living in Northampton. On the 12th February 1915 he was appointed one of the directors of The Technic Shoe Company . In 1916 he was appointed Managing Director for a term of five years. In 1919 Mr Tarry and his family became the sole owners. He died in 1978 aged 102.
