FOOTBALL MATCHOn Saturday last a well-contested match was played, under the association rules, between the Rushden Britons and the Kettering Star Club, the latter winning by one goal.
CRICKET MEETINGOn Saturday last the annual meeting of the "Britons" was held in the Infant School, when, after some discussion, it was decided to level a piece of ground which the Rector has kindly lent to the club for that purpose. The following were elected as officers for the ensuing year: Captain, W. Munns; secretary, G. Wagstaff; treasurer, C. Sharp; committee: W. Lewis, W. Clayson, H. White, and W. Carvell.
