ORNITHOLOGICAL SOCIETY The adjourned meeting of this society was held on Wednesday evening in the National Schools, when there was a fair attendance of members. It will be remembered that at the last meeting the balance-sheet showed a deficit of £9 due to the treasurer, and it was decided that the collectors should wait on the members who had not paid their subscriptions, and that each member should also endeavour to contribute a share of the deficit. It was now reported that about £6 had been raised as the result of this effort. The president, vice-president, and other officers were re-elected, two members being added to the committee. The next meeting of the society will be held in April, when the arrangements will be made for the carrying out of the show for 1890. |
