HOCKEYNORTHAMPTON TEMPERANCE V. RUSHDENPlayed on the borough ground on Saturday last, when a, very good game resulted in favour of the Temperance by three goals to two. For the winners S. Field (who obtained two goals) and C. Smith played splendidly, as also did W. Tyrell and C. Harris, though all played well. The Rushden men played a good game, and it was anyone's match until five minutes before time was called, when S. Field made the winning hit.
