HOCKEY—RUSHDEN v NORTHAMPTON TEMPERANCE—The return match between these teams was played on Saturday at Rushden, and resulted in a win for the home team by six goals to two. Northampton came two men short, so that two substitutes were found for them. This is the first time the visitors have lost this season. Rushden have now played five matches, winning three and losing two, and scoring 13 goals against seven.

Teams:— Rushden: J. Partridge, W. Wilmer, C. Betts, G. Smith, A. Linnett, H. Colson, H. Sale, A. Button, S. Colson, F. Chettle, and J. Knight (capt.).
Northampton: A. Robinson, F. Pollard, Manton, Garlick, Eaton, E. C. Laughton, Chown, W. Crask, J. W. Snedker, and two substitutes. Umpire, H. Savage.
