Cyclists before WWI Rushden Echo and Argus, 24th January, 1930, transcribed by Gill Hollis

Who are they?
The prize for an identification of last week’s cycling group goes to Mrs. Kemshead, Farndish Road, Irchester who writes: “The photo in the Rushden Echo and Argus is as follow:- Mr. Sears (known as “Stiffen”), who left Rushden some years ago, Mary Lack, daughter of Thomas Lack, who lived at that time up Harborough-road, but now resides, I believe, at Newport Pagnell, Walter Wood, son of Mr. Wood, who was then licensee of the “Waggon and Horses,” High-street, who went abroad, and Tom Lack, brother of Mary Lack, who now lives at Raunds.
