Members of Rushden Spencer Park Bowling Club have passed the season's half-way mark and are nearing the completion of three annual competitions.

In the Horrell Cup Mr. T. Bailey has won his way through to the final but does not yet know his opponent, Mr. Eddie Spencer and Mr. R. Sanders meet in a semi-final of the President's Prize, and the winner will meet Mr W. Skinner in the final.

Messrs. R. Sanders, H. Clipstone and F. Horsford are possibles for the final of the Thurston Cup, to which Mr R. Fuller has already won his way.

Both Thursday and Saturday sections of the club have had full match programmes. The Thursday team, with five wins out of seven games, have the better record so far. Three wins out of nine matches have been recorded by the Saturday section.
