Rushden Scholar’s Success Civil Service Examination
Mr Cecil George, who recently, as a student at Wellingborough School, headed all England in the Oxford Senior Local Examinations in arithmetic, has now been successful in passing the Civil Service Examination, and he will shortly take up an appointment under Government.
There were about 800 candidates for the examination, and Mr George secured the 81st place.
He is the son of Mr and Mrs Josiah George, of Pightles-terrace, Rushden.
