Newton Road - Infant School

PresentationMiss I. L. Scott, on leaving the Alfred-street infant school, of which she has been head-mistress for the last twelve years, in order to take up similar duties at the Newton-road infant school in succession to Miss Knight, was on Friday last the recipient of a very pleasing presentation. He gift, which comprised two handsome volumes of Kerner's "€œNatural History of Plants" and a gold locket, was made by the teachers and children, the caretaker, and the parents and friends of the scholars. Through the medium of the "€œRushden Echo"€ Miss Scott desires to thank all who subscribed to so handsome a gift.
