Newton Road Infant School - Centenary
1895 - 1995
c1910
When the school was first built it stood on the edge of town.
An early postcard by J.V. c1910

In celebration of its 100th Anniversary, the school held an open day in 1995. The school was crowded with ex-pupils who enjoyed looking round the classrooms, which had changed little since they attended.

The school admissions registers were also on display, and several people looked up the exact date they had started, the address where they lived then, and when they left.

Many old acquaintances were renewed.
