The Queen Anne style dinner gown (above left) with black and white taffeta skirt is displayed by Pat Tysoe, one of the Rushden Girls who became a mannequin at Messrs P W Wills’ fashion parade. The winged collar, of the same material as the skirt, contrasts with a black Pan velvet bodice. Sixteen-year-old Barbara Perkins, of Rushden (right) displays an attractive off-the-shoulder taffeta evening dress in pink and black check. This “Acquer” model with detachable sleeves has a very full skirt.
