Milk Bottles

We have photographs of a few local dairymen's milk bottles. If you have a bottle for any other, we'd be pleased to take a photograph of it, and also for more information about their businesses.

The three above are pint bottles and the two left are half int bottles. They have wide tops and the glass used was much thicker than today's bottles.

Below a card top.

John Willmott farmed at Manor Farm in Bedford Road, and also had a shop in High Street.
George Willmott farms at Home Farm, Knuston.
The Co-operative Society had Dial Farm in Bedford Road.
Northern Dairies was established by buying up the smaller businesses.
