A large bundle of photographs from our archive with several interior shots will bring back memories!
In the late 1950s a progressive programme began to refurbish and gave the shops a new look.
Easy to clean tiled frontages in cream with dark green below the windows for a uniform look to all stores.
In the 1970s there was a new electrical department, and a travel shop opened in High Street.
