Mission school is 65

Rushden Mission Sunday School celebrated its 65th anniversary on Sunday. At the morning service Mr. S. Viccars from Wellingborough was the guest preacher and Mr. P. Clark soloist. At the afternoon meeting Scripture examination awards I were presented to the following students:
Jennifer Stenson, Judith Crane, Barry Scholes, Roy Tomlin and Richard Wallington. This was the second year in succession that Richard Wallington had obtained maximum marks in the examination, a feat which has only been achieved on one previous occasion. A play "The Creation" was given by the young scholars.

In the evening a Bible presentation was made to five students who had reached the age of eighteen: Margaret Hales, Michael Clark, Janet Mephem, Jean Rawthorne and David Fuller.

David Eaton and Roy Throssal were inducted as new teachers.
