ObituaryOn Sunday afternoon Mr. Fred Yorke, the only son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Yorke, of Hargrave, was laid to rest in the Hargrave Churchyard. Mr. Yorke passed away yesterday week at the age of 30 years after a long illness. He was for several years captain of Hargrave Cricket Club and was an ardent worker in all social events of the village. During the service, conducted by the Rev. P. Graydon Tibbs, Rector, in the presence of many friend and representatives from local cricket clubs, hymns “Abide with me,” and “On the Resurrection morning,” were sung. There were many floral tributes. The bearers were members of the Cricket Club and Reading Room.
