BAPTIST CHAPEL—On Tuesday, the 17th, the 17th anniversary of the Baptist Chapel in this place was celebrated. The Rev. W. Cuff, of Shoreditch Tabernacle, preached two sermons on the occasion. Subsequent to the afternoon service a public tea was provided in the Temperance Hall, to which about 180 sat down. The trays were kindly given by friends of the congregation. The proceeds from all sources amounted to over £14.
