| Some plots were 5 acres and kept as small-holdings. Agriculture became more mechanised and they could not compete. Plots were sub-divided in the 1950s to 1970s. Now most are about ¼ to½ acre plots, or smaller. |

This advert is dated 31st August 1900, when
perhaps the first plots were sold, with another
sale of remaining plots occurring sometime
prior to WWI.
From a reconstructed plan for the second sale,
the unnumbered plots had already been sold so
the south side Avenue Road was divided first.
